WHAT ARE CITY GROUPS?

Two young men sitting indoors, one wearing a light gray cap with an elephant logo and the other smiling, with sunlight coming through large windows in the background.

City Groups are the best way to get connected at Embassy, whether you're brand new or you've been around for years.

“CGroups” meet weekly in homes around Bloomington to share life together and discuss the sermon from Sunday's gathering.

They're “open” groups, so you're welcome to join at any time — no need to wait for new groups to start.

City Groups run August–May, with a pause each summer and during the month of December, to give everyone time to rest and be with family.

City Groups are best for any of the following:

  • People looking to grow in community & build friendships

  • People who want to take a first step into Embassy’s group life

What to expect in a City Group:

  • Options of coed or same-gender groups

  • Connect with others in a similar stage of life

  • Meet weekly for about 1.5 - 2 hours

  • Average group size: 10-15 people

  • Combine fun, meaningful connection and group discussion together. Discussion is Scripture-based application of Sunday’s sermon.
