WHAT ARE CITY GROUPS?

City Groups meet one night per week to discuss application from Sunday’s sermon. They meet in homes across Bloomington and combine some fun, meaningful connection and group discussion together.

City Groups are best for:

  • People ‘newer’ to Embassy

  • People looking to establish community & build friendships

  • People who want to take a first step into Embassy’s group life

What to expect in a City Group:

  • Most groups are coed

  • Meet weekly

  • Average group size: 10-15 people

  • Group times: Weeknights for about 1.5 hours

  • Discuss: sermon & Scripture-based application

WHAT ARE DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS?

Discipleship Groups meet to discuss personal Bible reading & accountability. They meet in homes, coffee shops or offices around Bloomington. They combine high levels of trust, accountability and vulnerability in order to grow into the image of Christ.

Discipleship Groups are best for:

  • Family Members at Embassy

  • Members looking to grow in personal, spiritual disciplines

  • Members who want to take a second step into Embassy’s group life

What to expect in a Discipleship Group:

  • Same-gender groups

  • Group is made up of mostly Embassy Family Members

  • Meet weekly or bi-weekly

  • Average group size: 3-5 people

  • Group times: Mornings or nights for about 1.5 hours

  • Discuss: personal Bible reading, sin confession & accountability questions
